Bodhisattva's precept

Bodhisattva’s 10 precept

1.     Do not kill:
Do not kill any living sentient being or command to kill,
Do not be in joy or delight when something is killed or killed by
religious sacrifices or using the Tarani to kill something.
Bodhisattva always provides good mercy and love to protect all
sentient being or anything alive.

KALAMASUTTA 10

1. Ma anussavena:

Don’t accept and believe something to be true just because it has been passed along and retold for many years. Such credulity is a characteristic of brainless people, of "sawdust brains," such as those in Bangkok who once believed that disasters would befall people born in the "ma" years. (The years of the small snake, big snake, horse, and goat — five through eight in the old twelve-year Thai cycle — all begin with "ma.")

Obama confuses his Medal of Honor recipients during Ft. Drum remarks

The president tells of being able to award the medal to Jared Monti, who he says 'wasn't receiving it posthumously.' In fact, Monti was a posthumous recipient and Obama apparently was confusing him with Salvatore Giunta, the first living recipient since Vietnam. The White House acknowledges the mix-up.

President Obama, at recent campaign stops, has pointed out that his hair is now getting gray, a sign of how he has aged and the toll taken by his job. But on Thursday, the president had a different kind of senior moment.

Speaking at Ft. Drum in upstate New York, Obama thanked troops from the 10th Mountain Division for their deployments to Iraqand Afghanistan. To hammer home his point, he told a story of awarding the Medal of Honor to a living member of the division.
