Bodhisattva's precept


Bodhisattva’s 10 precept


1.     Do not kill:
Do not kill any living sentient being or command to kill,
Do not be in joy or delight when something is killed or killed by
religious sacrifices or using the Tarani to kill something.
Bodhisattva always provides good mercy and love to protect all
sentient being or anything alive.

2.     Do not steal:
Do not steal if it doesn’t belong to you or deal with thieves or
command someone to steal.
Bodhisattva should avoid any motivation of stealing and keep away
from stealing. You should always have good mercy and behavior.

3.     Do not lascivious:
Do not lewd for people for your sexual imagination, you should
adequately control your sexual behavior or appearance.
Bodhisattva always heed sexual motivation and is against lewdness.

4.     Do not tell a lie:
You should not tell a lie or command someone to lie or tell a lie for
your own profit. Keep your trustworthy and honesty.
Bodhisattva always speaks with self-respect or respect to others.

5.     Do not sell alcohol or toxic materials:
You should not sell any alcohol or toxic materials or command
someone to sell. Alcohol and toxics creates many kinds of sin and
improper behaviors.
Bodhisattva should not be an alcoholic and be against the selling of
toxic materials.

6.     Do not tell a weak point or fault about the Buddhist or other:
You should not tell someone’s weak point or their fault, but tell
wonderful words to comfort them including priest and priestess.
Bodhisattva must respect all Bikkhu,Bikkhuni or lay people.

7.     Do not self praise and boast:
You should never boast, always consider your family and fellows
with the best respect (mutual respect).
Bodhisattva must lower the mind and stay humble.

8.     Do not be greedy and use abusive language:
You should not be a stingy or greedy person and must heed yourself to avoid self-righteous that gives misery in life.
Bodhisattva must give love all sentient being and help them to make the best harmony within our universe. You should talk gently and
softly with utmost love, that is the Bodhisattva’s way.

9.     Do not be angry:
You should not get angry or hate someone.
Our ultimate goal is to reach the Buddha’s great stage that expound
the prajna-paramita however your anger or hatred create the missing
of confident and lost your dignity.
Bodhisattva must control their mind in any circumstance.

10.                        Do not abuse Buddha’s Tri-Ratna (Buddha, Dharma & Sangha)
You must keep the treasures of Buddha’s realm and not be
Slanderous or have shameless conduct against your own sangha.
Our most respected tradition of Buddha’s three treasures were
protected for the last 2,500 years, So as a Bodhisattva, you must save and preserve our Tri-Ratna for the next generation.
